Welcome to Q3: Here’s What’s Coming for Your Fitness This Summer

by | Lifestyle, Mindset

Q2 is done.

Six months into the year. Half a year of showing up, adjusting, falling off, getting back on, building something – or at the very least, staying in the game long enough to read this sentence.

Before we talk about what’s coming in Q3, I want to acknowledge what Q2 actually was for a lot of women: hard. Summer schedules disrupted routines. Kids were home. Travel happened. The plan that worked in May stopped working in June.

And yet – you’re still here. That matters more than you know.

Last week I published a full midyear audit guide – six questions to assess what worked, what didn’t, and what one thing to adjust going into Q3. If you haven’t read it, go do that first. [READ HERE: Halfway There: How to Audit Your Fitness Progress]. This post is the companion piece – what’s coming next, and how to use the next 90 days differently.

What Q2 Actually Built – Even When It Didn’t Feel Like It

Here’s what I consistently observe in the women I coach at the halfway point: they underestimate what they built.

They look at the scale, or the times they skipped, or the weeks where nutrition fell apart – and they conclude that Q2 was a loss. What they don’t see is the foundation.

WHAT HAPPENED IN Q2 WHAT IT ACTUALLY BUILT
You showed up inconsistently The habit survived disruption. That’s harder to build than perfect streaks.
You adjusted when the plan broke Adaptability is a trainable skill. Q2 trained it.
You added one nutrition habit One habit compounded for 90 days is more powerful than ten habits for two weeks.
You had hard weeks and kept going The identity of someone who doesn’t quit. That’s what Q2 built most.

The women who get the best results in Q3 are not starting from zero. They’re starting from everything Q2 quietly built – whether they can see it yet or not.

The 6 Habits That Made the Biggest Difference This Quarter

Across the women I coach, six things separated the ones who built real momentum in Q2 from the ones who stayed stuck. These are the habits worth carrying into Q3.

#1 Consistent training schedule – same days, same times

Not four sessions one week and zero the next. The same windows, protected, week over week. Even when they were 20 minutes instead of 45. The schedule was the anchor.

#2 Protein first at every meal

The single nutritional shift with the highest return. Not a diet. Not counting. Just protein present at every meal, in that order. Energy, recovery, body composition – all improved.

#3 Weekly check-ins that caught problems early

The women who had someone reviewing their week caught slips before they became spirals. One bad week addressed in a check-in becomes a small adjustment. Left unaddressed, it becomes three weeks off.

#4 Protecting the minimum

Even the hardest weeks had something. Ten minutes. One session. A walk. The habit survived because they protected the smallest version of it instead of waiting for a perfect week.

#5 Sleeping 7+ hours

Everything else works better when sleep is right. Willpower, food choices, training quality, recovery – all downstream of sleep. The women who prioritized it felt the difference within two weeks.

#6 Having someone who noticed

Accountability from a coach or community changed the equation. When someone notices when you go quiet – you go quiet less.

Six habits. Any one of them, applied consistently for 90 days, produces a meaningful result. All six together produces a transformation.

Welcome to Q3 – Here’s What’s Coming

Q3 runs from July through September. For most women, that means the tail end of summer disruption followed by the return of school-year structure in August and September.

Here’s how I’m thinking about the next 90 days for the women I work with:

July: Finish the Summer Strong

Don’t let July be the month you coast. The women who use July intentionally come back to fall with a fitness baseline that the ones who took the month off simply don’t have.

The goal in July: protect your three training windows per week. Keep protein first. Use the long days to move. Don’t let the summer schedule become an excuse – let it be an opportunity.

August: Build the Back-to-School Foundation

August is when structure starts returning. Kids go back to school. Routines reset. And for women who have been training through the summer – this is when the compound effect starts becoming visible.

The goal in August: increase training intensity slightly. Add a second nutritional priority on top of protein first. Start thinking about what fall fitness looks like and plan ahead.

September: Harvest the Compound Effect

By September, 90 days of intentional work in Q3 will have produced something real. Not a transformation – a foundation. The kind that doesn’t get lost when the next hard season comes.

The goal in September: assess what you built in Q3, celebrate it honestly, and set your Q4 intention from a position of strength rather than guilt.

What I’m Building for Remote Coaching Clients in Q3

I want to be transparent about what’s coming in the Stress Free Fat Loss Plan for Q3 – because it’s the most robust version of this program I’ve built yet.

  • Deeper nutrition phases. We’re moving beyond protein first into more personalized nutritional strategies based on what each woman’s body is responding to.
  • Stronger community component. More structured opportunities for the women in the program to connect, share wins, and hold each other accountable.
  • A clearer 90-day roadmap. Months 1, 2, and 3 mapped out with specific outcomes and milestones so you always know what you’re working toward and why.
  • Q3 kickoff check-in. Every new client in Q3 starts with a dedicated goal-setting session – not just a program handoff.

The goal remains the same: fifteen pounds down, more energy, a relationship with your body that doesn’t require constant negotiation. The path there is clearer than it’s ever been.

Q3 spots are now open. This is the strongest version of the program I’ve built. And July is the best time to start.

START HERE!

Your Q3 Intention – Set It Before July 1st

Before the new quarter starts, I want you to do one thing. Not a goal list. Not a plan. One intention.

How do you want to feel on September 30th?

Not what do you want to weigh. Not how many sessions do you want to hit. How do you want to feel. In your body. About yourself. When you think about the last 90 days.

Write that down. One sentence. Put it somewhere you’ll see it.

That intention is your compass for Q3. When the hard weeks come – and they will – you have something to return to that’s bigger than a number on a scale.

Q2 built the foundation. Q3 builds on it.

Welcome to the second half. Let’s make it the best one yet.
